The experiment continues

I just read an article about Italy's plan to transform algae into biofuel by harvesting algae from Venice's canals and I wondered, is that what our landlords are intending to do with their backyard "swimming pool"?? How innovative, earth-friendly and forward thinking of them! But then I remembered they're slumlords, not brilliant scientists. Care to see recent images of our backyard oasis? Here you go.

We're now one and a half weeks into the algae cultivating process, and the slumlords are showing no signs of movement toward a clearer, cleaner pool in which to swim. We're praying the mosquito population doesn't hear about its existence because, if so, we're in trouble. No window screens and a gigantic mosquito breeding ground right outside our apartment doesn't make for a good combination for us humans.

We hope you're enjoying glimpses of gorgeous blooming trees and beautiful spring flowers as much as we are. Those sights help to distract us from the squalor that surrounds our home.

As always, we're sending lots of love and hugs across the miles...the girlz

OK, it's time to chime in on your Sanford & Son Slumlords.
1st - I think these guys should be refered to as Samford & Son. His name is Sam after all. As far as the son part, Samford and Alan doesn't have the same ring to it. I thought of several other things we could call Alan but this isn't my blog and I'm not sure of the tolerance of your readers. I'll keep it "G". As "G" as I can anyway. It is me after all.
2nd - In defense of all the helpless defenseless slumlords out there, these 2 are special. Very special in fact. They are SlumQueens, not Lords. Much more special.
So, to review, Samford and (I know what we can call him. We'll call him "G" which can also mean "Gee, look at the crap he brought home today".) So, Samford and "G" the SlumQueens, I'm liking this much better.
I would be concerend about the algea and soon to be birthing pond for for for, I can't say it. The thought actually makes me cringe. Truth be told, I can't spell it & the dictionary if over there. :( But I'd still be concerened.
Go to the pond store and buy a couple dozen fish that eat the larvea of of of well you know what I'm saying.
Alan's home, gotta go, Todaloo.
Love you / miss you.
