Still no washer and dryer. We're not very happy about it. To make matters worse, last night the slumlords moved our washer and dryer somewhere (most likely into their garage). Odd, don't you think? Why not just move them INTO OUR APARTMENT!?!?!
By the way, I forgot about two other items on our slumlords' "to do" list:
9) Install screens on all windows
10) Install storm door
Regarding that list, good news! With absolutely no help from the landlords, we fixed the dishwasher locking mechanism. Turns out, the dishwasher isn't level, so unless you shut the door with incredible force, the latch will not lock. So now we're using major muscle groups to shove the door into place. Number 8 on the list is complete.
More updates are forthcoming. Until then, we're sending lots of love and hugs across the miles...the girlz
