it's lucky's birthday today!

first and most importantly, it's my girlie's birthday today. happy birthday, sweetheart!!!! we'll celebrate by going to dinner tonight and then we'll be spending a long weekend in seattle exploring the city. some things we plan to do are to attend the experience music project, tour the boeing airplane factory, take a seattle harbor dinner cruise and tour the seattle mariner's baseball stadium. we're really excited about our adventures!

secondly, i'm not even sure how many people are visiting and reading our blog as we've become quite neglectful about updating it. sorry, everybody!

without further adieu, here's the latest and greatest from us:
lucky's team, the "fire," finished their last basketball game last weekend. even though the team won just one game the whole season, the girls improved so much in that amount of time. more than anything, the experience was a positive one for everyone involved. maybe coach leann will be back again next year. we'll see.

also, our neighborhood was one of the venues in an upcoming hollywood movie called "untraceable," so we were able to get a sneak peak into all that goes into shooting a film. the premise of the movie is that diane lane plays an FBI agent trying to track down a serial killer. what was most fascinating about the situation was just how many people were involved in the set up and shooting of the film. we took a few pictures to share, even though they don't show much of anything. the filming occurred in a motel one block from our apartment.
