it's an addiction

this past weekend we met elizabeth at a U-pick strawberry patch on sauvie island (just outside of portland). any guesses as to how many pounds of strawberries we plucked?...no, not three...not six...not nine. the two of us picked a whopping ELEVEN pounds of beautifully juicy, red, ripe strawberries. YUMMMMMMMMMM!

and what did we do with the eleven pounds of strawberries? we ate every last one of them. i think we're addicted.... we're going back for more this weekend.

sad goodbyes

sadly, kandinsky lost her battle with inflammatory bowel disease/kidney disease/cancer last week. it was so hard to say goodbye, but we take comfort in knowing she's not in pain anymore. we know she will always be with us in spirit.
