Happy birthday, Rhys!

Today I'm sending birthday wishes to the love of my life, my partner in crime, my one and only. Rhys, you mean the world to me, and I love you more with each breath. Here's to an amazing year ahead filled with lots of laughter, love, little discoveries, adventure and wonder. I love you.

(P.S. For those of you who aren't aware, after much deliberation, LeAnn decided to change her name to Rhys this weekend. She thought her birthday was a fitting time to do so, and I have to agree.)

Our latest adventure…organic gardening class

I know, I know - it seems crazy for us to participate an organic gardening class when we live in a high-rise condo building in the middle of a metropolitan city, but we certainly love a challenge. We've been hoping to start our own balcony container garden for awhile now and this opportunity presented itself at the perfect time. Our first class was filled with talk of soil, bacteria, protoza and mycelia. It felt like a flashback to high school biology class, but this time I tried harder to pay attention. We met a lot of great people and we're super stoked to learn all we can about growing our own food over the next few months. Here's to getting your hands dirty!

Below are pictures from Cane Creek Farm, where our class is being held.

SNOW DAY!

The city shut down today due to 5.5 inches of snow and then a layer of ice on top. The roads are a pretty big mess. Thankfully our respective workplaces chose to close for the day which meant we were able to venture out to take some pictures.
